Holt Farm Infant School is Active Rochford's
School of the Year 2015!

On Thursday 12th November we attended the Castlepoint and Rochford Sports awards at the Mill Hall Rayleigh, we had been shortlisted as finalists along with FitzWimarc School and Westerings Primary Academy for the School of the Year award.

We are delighted to announce that we won the award due to the outstanding work we do to link with local sports clubs and coaches, the way we support our teachers delivering PE lessons, our range of after school sports clubs and our unique showcase sports day. Thank you to Sarah Robinson, our PE Co-ordinator for her outstanding commitment to PE in our school without which we would not have been nominated for this award.

As school of the year we won £100, this will go towards a shed for all our PE equipment to make it more easily accessible. We were also presented with two rather nice trophies!

Thank you to those who supported our nomination; it is wonderful that our work has been acknowledged.
