Governing Board

The Governing Board does not have a committee structure, instead, the Governing Board meets half-termly and each meeting has a focus linked to one of the 6 sections of the School Development Plan. Finance is discussed at each meeting. The purpose of our meetings is to drive school improvement.

Governors attend training sessions to help us keep up to date with changes in schools and education and to help us do our job effectively. We visit the school regularly and meet with the Headteacher, other members of staff and pupils to help us find out how the school is progressing towards its targets.

Ofsted Inspection

Our last Ofsted Inspection was in September 2017. Holt Farm Infant School was graded as good overall for

OFSTED quote “Children make good progress.  Standards in reading, writing, and mathematics have been rising since the last inspection leading to good achievement over time”.

The report also highlights the positive responses by parents and carers that are a reflection of the strong partnerships we have with our parents and the local community.  92% of parents would recommend our school to another parent.

We are delighted with the report which states that our school has improved significantly since the last inspection through strong teamwork among the staff with a shared drive and commitment for improvement.
