Important Coronavirus Updates

Dear Parent /Carers

We you will be aware from the government announcements last week, we have moved from the contain phase to the delay phase of the Covid-19 / Coronavirus strategy. This information was sent to you via Parentmail on Friday 13th March.

The guidance means that adults and children are required to self-isolate for 7 days if they display any mild symptoms of the virus.

At this time I am displaying mild symptoms and therefore will be self-isolating. In my absence, Mrs Stanford will be acting Headteacher.

We have had no known cases of the Covid-19 virus within our community but we are taking precautions as outlined by the government and Public Health England in their recent announcements. Public Health England has advised that there is no need for us to take any further action.

I will update you if there is any further information I need to share.

In line with the new guidance if your child is displaying mild Covid-19 like symptoms they should remain at home for at least 7 days. These are; a continuous cough and or high temperature. Further information can be found here. Please inform the school as soon as possible that you are isolating your child if after 7 days they are no longer displaying symptoms they can return to school. Likewise, if we are concerned about a child’s health in school we will contact their parents immediately.

I will inform you as soon as we have any updates or additional advice from the government or PHE. Thank you for your continued support and understanding during these difficult times.

Yours sincerely,
Robin Goodier
Headteacher
