School meals are free to all Infant School children.
From September 2014 all the children became entitled to a school meal free of charge every day. We have a lovely new Autumn menu to ensure that we provide a balanced nutritious meal daily. Our delicious school meals are cooked on the premises using fresh ingredients from local suppliers by our lovely Catering Team, led by Mrs. Val Masser our school cook.
In November 2015 our school was commended by Essex County School Meals for having one of the highest uptakes of school meals in the county. Jason Walmsley, County School Meals Service Adviser congratulated our catering staff “on the hard work your school and the catering staff, in particular, put into making school meals a success…. ensuring that our pupils have access to excellent home-cooked school lunch and in turn supporting your pupils’ health and wellbeing.
