History
HISTORY
Children begin to develop an awareness of the past by using vocabulary related to the passage of time. They build a sense of chronology, understanding how significant people and events fit within a historical timeline. They learn to identify similarities and differences between ways of life in different time periods. Through asking and answering questions, they select and use parts of stories and other sources to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding of key historical events. They also begin to explore how we learn about the past and recognise the different ways it can be represented.
