School Meals

All Infant School children are entitled to a free school meal each day under Universal Free School Meals which was introduced in 2014. This is for all children at Infant School and is not means tested.

We are very proud of our school meal service which provides freshly cooked food daily for the children. The food is locally sourced wherever possible and prepared by our dedicated catering team.

The children are served at their tables by their Midday Assistant who also supports the children eating their meals. Eating a healthy freshly cooked meal with friends is very important for the children. It helps to introduce them to new foods and flavours and is a great way to develop their social skills.

Healthy Packed Lunch

Packed lunches should be healthy and balanced, sweets and chocolate bars are not allowed.  A small biscuit or cake is fine as part of a balanced meal.  No fizzy drinks or glass bottles are allowed. We encourage children to drink water.

Food Allergies, Intolerances and Preferences

If your child has a food allergy/intolerance or if your child is vegetarian, vegan or cannot eat certain foods for religious reasons please inform the school office.  This will help us to ensure that your child avoids unsuitable foods or ingredients.
