‘Happy, Friendly, Incredible, Safe’

Our Approach

Our approach to teaching children & young people with SEN

Inclusive education means supporting all pupils to learn, contribute and participate in all aspects of school life alongside their peers. Our curriculum includes, not only the formal requirements of the Early Years Foundation Stage Curriculum / National Curriculum, but also a range of additional opportunities to enrich the experiences of all pupils.  By encouraging independence at all age and ability levels, we endeavour to develop confidence, improve self-esteem and promote enthusiasm in all our pupils. It is also our priority to develop the social aspects of learning to support children long-term with making and maintaining friendships.

Our school welcomes all children and values them as individuals, treating them equally and with respect. We believe that all children have the right to have their own particular needs recognised and addressed in order to achieve success. We pride ourselves on being an inclusive school and will endeavour to support every child regardless of their level of need.  All pupils at Holt Farm follow the National Curriculum at a level and pace that is appropriate to their abilities.
